Hollywood Bowl announces Summer 2010 schedule

If you’re planning a trip to Southern California this summer, don’t forget you have the opportunity to hear some great music while you are here at one of Los Angeles most popular attractions.

Tickets go on sale May 2.  In addition to the music, the Hollywood Bowl is especially popular for those who like to go early with a picnic dinner and a bottle of wine to enjoy in the park before the concert begins (food can also be purchased there).  Who doesn’t like to listen to music under the stars, and there is a lineup of well-known musicians scheduled to perform this summer:

B.B. King, Smokey Robinson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Herbie Hancock, Vince Gill, Harry Connick, Jr., Joshua Bell, Sarah Chang, Sir James Galway, Sergio Mendes, Pink Martini and The Chemical Brothers in addition to the numerous planned appearances by the LA Philharmonic under the guidance of its exciting new conductor, Gustavo Dudamel as well as other guest conductors throughout the summer.  Also highlighting the 2010 season are the 32nd Annual Playboy Jazz Festival and the fully staged musical Rent with Neil Patrick Harris directing and Vanessa Hudgens starring as Mimi.
